    Situated in the rue de Richelieu in Paris, the Bibliothèque nationale or BN is a large copyright deposit library comparable to the British Library and the Library of Congress. At present it houses the library's collection of manuscripts, engravings, coins, medals and maps; the main bulk of the book collection has been transferred to the new François Mitterrand-Tolbiac complex in the 13th arrondissement.
